Car swaying after new tires & alignment.

I just had my rear tires replaced with continental etremecontacts and the garage went and did an alignment for free with the install. I immediately notice now that the car sways/drifts and also I have noticed the traction control light pop on a couple times. I feel like I have to constantly be on guard for the car swerving out of control. I hope I an describing the feeling but it feels like I am swaying back and forth as I drive and I need to keep making corrections to keep it on the road. It is not my imagination because the passengers now notice it to. The front tires need to be replaced but are still within the legal limits.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. This was done at a well known garage but not the dealer.

Replace the fronts as soon as you can...and get the alignment re-done

Small toe differences will make it handle very different..................

same brand/make tires all 4 = pedictable handling
mix weird tires front/rear = facilitating an accident
don't take chances w/this for a 32nd or two

Or you can just rotate those new rears to the front, and it will feel better.

I finally found the matching set of tires and the car was re-aligned again also. The problem I am "guessing" was the fact that the front and rear tires were different types and brand and most likely a wear difference. The sloshy feeling is now gone but now I have another issue I just noticed.... will address in another thread called bumpy ride at high speed.
