I don't ride on reps, but whatever floats your boat.
I came to this thread to see pics.
I like the TE37's or V-rep version.

I am looking at getting a set for my DC2 for winter time tracking.
...or maybe just get another set of super advan v2's or some rpf's.

My safetynote.
I hit a crazy pot hole in Detroit just over a month ago. It blew my coilover, screwed up my tire, messed up my supension, but my advans were solid. If I had been riding some weaker rim, I would have been stuck in North East Detroit with a busted rim.
Honnestly, I'd rather have a rim break on a track then on the road, so that argument/logic is stupid. I'm sure those reps (at some point could) be better than other budget "real" rims.
Munchy's car is badass, those rims look fine, and I'm sure he doesn't want to spend 3x that for authentic and that is up to him.
Haters gonna hate.

The point wasn't to show that it isn't copying other wheel designs, or that its better than the authentics, but rather to show that it's still a quality wheel at an affordable price. Personally, I wouldn't buy Rotas because of the fact that RPF1's are not that much more money (if not the same), are lighter, and still a good looking wheel. Some might want a different design though. My current wheels were $600 shipped. I think they look good and they do their job. However, my next set of wheels will be RPF1's.

Varrstoen | Custom Performance Wheels and Accessories » Products

Check this site for all sizes available. Sonic should be able to get you anything that's listed there.

Not entirely sure if my BBS LM Rep's are indeed Varrstoen's or not, but I thought I'd share, seeing as how this style of rim is pretty popular.

I'm sure they're look great in an aggressive fitment on my 8, but for now, they're chillin' on my Sonata. :]

To the haters saying reps are dangerous and can break wile driving 35mph over a pothole (which is an outright lie), stock is better than reps and safer blah blah blah...

stockers break too and they wear out from fatigue just like any other wheel. And just like replicas they break when you hit a pothole at 35mph (I mean hit a curb).

my favorite part of this thread was where people posted pics of their varrstoen wheels and not whinged about replicas.

make another thread about it, call it "calling all replicas" or whatever i don't care

ps i had genuine BBS rims on my Audi A4, rim ended up dented from a pothole. bought a set of replica RS4 rims and they were in immaculate condition after 2years of driving on the earthquake damaged roads (potholes, dips, random bumps everywhere) of Christchurch New Zealand (car is sold now)

In conclusion, quality is not excellent on reps but for the average Joe that doesn't wanna spend to much money, they get your car looking good. So many ways of saying the same thing over and over again. Just post pics of your reps...

^ not diggin the super stretch on a car that isnt slammed, also it looks like you got some 4x4 mexican poke status going on.

I was going to get those exact wheels too, just in 9.5+22 to fit more adequate rubber. Ive gone in a different direction though and probably getting these very soon.
https://www.rx8club.com/rx-8-multime...5/#post4298297

and then they will be almost flush +5mm spacer on the FD.

Definitely not that stretched, poked, and yeah low. Working on it at the moment. Didin't know how fitment was going work so went off what I saw from other member and went for a little stretch to figure out where I stand first. Appreciate the "feedback" though.

Johnvx1k- It looks fine to me man, maybe a tiny bit lower and it'll be perfect, but FAR from "4x4" or "mexipoke".

Also- why the hell did Varrstoen discontinue the 5.5.2 in 18"?

Thanks man, I am currently in the process of lowering it. They might of discontinued it in 18" if they weren't selling well. Have you tried contacting them to see what the deal is?
