Calling all Varrstoen wheels!
Calling all Varrstoen wheels!
I have been looking into getting wheels and want either te37 or sf winning replicas. I like both the Varrstoen 1.1.1's (sf winning reps) and Varrstoen 2.2.1 (te37 reps). Not sure which i like more though, i feel the te37 reps from varrstoen need to be more concave but they still look good.
So i would love to see all pictures of 8's with Varrstoen te37 reps or sf winning reps.
Bring on the pics!

Thanks for the pics guys. I'm not saying varrstoens are nicer than volks, if I had 5k to drop on a set of wheels I would get some sf winnings or work vs xx but I in high school and don't even have time for a job.
^ Im in college, the difference is i understand i should save for real volks, but dont really care enough to spend that kind of cash. 4 varrstoens go for under 1k, and thats what im going to throw on the rx7 until i finish fixing everything and tracking the car, then ill switch to rpf1's or something for the track. I understand they suck compared to volks but i dont need that much love from people i dont even know in parking lots, especially since its only being driven on fridays and saturdays. The chances of the wheel cracking is slim in my case.

I want real volks or works but I just can't afford them. If I had the money of course I would get them. I could save for volks but what's the point when I'm in high school and don't even have a job. I am currently starting a business and if it is successful the first thing I will do is get some real volks but until then I can't afford them.
If you are on budget and just street driven (not including retarded street racing), the reps are fine.
But if anything happens, you'll definitely regret why you didn't get the real thing from beginning.
Imho, just save up for the real deal, not worth to cheap out on wheels when the only thing that touches the ground are you wheels. (yeah, i know, it's tires, u know what I meant)
You are still young, not worth to risk your safety to just get ricy.

A new set of Varrstoen reps will probably run you around $1000. You might be able to get a used set of authentic Volks for around $1500+/- It'll take some time to find a good deal on the Volks, but you'll probably find something
Find a good condition set of Volks for $1500 would be hard enough and take a long time but then to find the ones I want with the right size offset and color would just take too long. Plus to find them in my area cause shipping is a biotch for wheels. I would either want volk sf winnings, work vs xx's or maybe te37 and I hawk the for sale thread on here and have never seen any sf winnings or vs xx's for sale. I tried other local general car fours and found some that we're too expensive and not even the right size or bolt pattern or color. It will just take too long.
I don't auto cross either just street use and not even street racing anymore.

Varrestoens are good replicas... I'd your not racing they will be as good as stock wheels in durability and look 100x better.
Haters ganna hate on replicas... people act as if rx8s are tii good for anything but over priced forged JDM wheels.... I'm sorry I refuse to pay more than 10% of the value of my car on wheels if I'm not going racing or rich.

The replica hate came quickly in this thread. I'm planning on getting a set of 2.2.1s.
I don't feel like spending 3k on rims only for a car that will probably never see a track. And finding legit rims in the specs you want is like finding a needle in a haystack.
I don't see an issue with replicas unless the owner is trying to pass them off as legit rims personally.
