You can pick up a set of 2.2.x for CHEAP. They have been out a while, i even saw a set go for $700 for all 4 and came with tires. Unfortunately im looking at getting the 10.5 3.3.1's and in fitment that would come no where close to fitting the rx8 without coilovers

Same with me between the 1.1.1s and 2.2.1s. After seeing sifus 8 with the te37 I like them a lot more and could be a deciding factor.

rota grids suck dick, they look cheap, especially because they dont look like a te37, but everyone knows they are trying to copy it and failing. i hate rota grids with a passion. atleast varrstoen has aggressive sizes. also, the white is a custom color, though if you ordered through varrstoen they can powdercoat it before they ship for additional cost.

pm dlum for his specs on his wheels, im not 100% sure of his sizes.

Where did you guys get your Varrstoen's from? I searched for their site and they aren't in the US. Did you guys still buy from them?
I'm wanting new wheels to give me a new look, but my stock wheels are in perfect condition! I need new rear tires soon though so hmmmm.... what to do what to do??
I wanted a blue rx8 to begin with. The white would've looked the best on blue in my opinion. My dad surprised me with a red one though! So I'm trying to cope with the VR and it's growing on me. I've always loved colored wheels though such as green, pink, blue, white (typical since I was an owner of a s13). So I'd really like white. Trying to find the cheapest I can find some 18x9 or 9.5 Varrstoen's. Heck, maybe even if 18x10 would fit on stock height?

Here's a place you can get them from and if you pick them up with cash they won't charge you tax!

4x ES 1.1.2 in 19x11 +25 for $1050

All 19's should be around the same price, 18's are cheaper.

Cool man, what kind of setup are you running?
Suspension?
And you probably plan on rolling your fenders right?
That sound like a sick fitment. Congrats on the wheels

varrstoens warehouse is in cali,

blah i wanted to get 2.2.1's but te37s are getting played out. Everyone has them, its not unique anymore.

Im getting 3.3.1's but i need them in rx7 fitment, and i want them to match so i can rotate the tires, the rx7 will be expensive enough. 18x9.5+22 will fit the rx7 with the +15mm feed front fenders but on the rx8 ive been told at stock height it will stick out a solid inch in the front, which looks really ******* stupid to me.

I would get coilovers to do it right( you shouldnt buy wheels without dropping the car) but there is no point pouring money into my daily, and its 1500 i could put down towards an amuse exhaust for the fd for 1300 or coilovers for 3k, etc etc. Just not worth it to mod my 8 any more than what it is right now.

EDIT: Oh, forgot to mention that i was quoted 1050 shipped for 3.3.1's from Navith directly from the varrstoen warehouse, and Sonic quoted me 1020, tell me how that makes sense. if you buy varrstoen buy from sonic, their prices are better than buying direct from the manufacturer.

The best i can do it $950 shipped for a set of these. Custom colors cost +$80...

that quote was for 2.2.1 18x10.5 +22... your price may vary but try shooting them an email.

The biggest problem you may find is getting stock. Most of the resellers like Sonic and whatever rely on VarrsToen's warehouse in Cali. If VarrsToen doesn't have stock for the reseller due to pre-orders, then you'll have to wait longer.

Also yeah, Sonic has cheaper shipping, that's the only difference. It's not the price of the wheels.
