BFGoodrich G-Force T/A KDW-2 or Toyo T1R
Which one would you pick in terms of performance (grip, sidewall flex, etc) and comfort (road noise, bad road absorption, etc)
Size: 275/30/19
Also how would you rate Dunlop SP Sport 9000
Many thanks

I can't speak for the other tires but I can for the kdw's. as far as performance goes these are the best street tire I have ever had the wet traction was the same as dry traction, the noise was a little high, but you get used to it, now you may say that there has to be a negative side. ant that would be the treadlife a set of these lasted me 9,000 miles and they were down to the threads, I did autocross a few times but still, so if you don't mind replacing them every few months or just use for racing then I would defentally recommend the kdws

if the choices are between those get the KDW's... i work at discount tire so i know a thing or two... and if you want some advice get the g force sports... same performance less noise... do not go toyo or dunlop.. especially dunlop
and your ride is going to be real hard with a 30 offset... just letting you know

The DOOD abides.

I had a set of 245/40/18 on a stock setup and got about 28k miles out of them. I rotated about 5k miles and no AutoX or "driving events" though. I'm sure that will steal some life out of 'em.
I did notice superior wet and dry handling, with little to no break away. Any slide was extremely predictable...except for one in near freezing conditions in Maryland...yikes. All-Season tires FTW in freezing temps.
As for the noise...yeah, they make lots. Kinda gets old, but you will get used to it.
I will probably get the KDW2 once my SPTs run out.
Good Luck

I have the KDW-2s on my WRX and the T1Rs on my Elise and I don't think you can go wrong with either. The T1Rs do seem quieter and as for grip, both grip well on both cars, while the two cars are not comparable I drive both hard and have not run into any sketchy situations I did not induce myself. I like the look of the KDW-2s, but the T1Rs are not bad. It would probably come down to a choice of brand. I did have more of a problem getting the T1Rs balanced, I had to go to a place with road force balancing to get rid of high speed wobble.

I've had the KDW2's on my car for 35,000 miles now. Last time it was at the dealer, he called them slicks. Now, they still have SOME tread left, but yea, they need to be replaced.
I'm not sure if I want to buy another set. As they wear, they do get very loud.

Lots of varying opinions on the KDW2's. I have them and will not buy them again. They are loud and the sidewall is soft. It feels like I'm rolling into the corners :rant They are great in the rain when the weather is above 50*.
275/30/19 kdw2's will not fit up front. I assume you are planning to run a staggered setup. Do not go wider than 245 up front with the kdw2 tires.

I did hear about the soft sidewall issues. What other tires would you recommend under 300, must be a street tire.

I thought they would. I've seen several people running these sizes all around on this forum with little or no problems. I will not mind a fender roll if it comes to that. I do not want to go staggered.

I did search but didn't see a point clicking on a "wheel well liner rub" thread
With the 275/30/19 tires the overall diameter will still be smaller than the 255/35/19's, by more than half an inch. The effect of overall diameter due to tire width can be adjusted by changing the profile. But now I know that 275/35/19 is out of the question, thanks.
