I've gone through 3 kinds of aftermarket endlinks, the prior 2 are both adustable metal heim joint endlinks and are not ideal for street use (sounds like my suspension is falling apart on rough roads). I currently have the Evo-R endlinks, been on the car for a few months now and I no longer dread driving around downtown where the streets are far from smooth and perfect.

 

Thats exactly what I think too, it sounds like something is braking down when I drive it. I have gone through my suspension too many times this season but everything is ok its the crappy uniball design, never again on a semi track/streetcar. On top of that my ap's are rusting bad and it has only gone 6000kms and a few trackdays in sunny summer.

I don't use it when it rains, it must rust like hell if your planning on using it as a DD in the winter.

So you like the Evo-R? how is the quality? had my mind on AutoEXE's endlinks but they are quite expensive for a set of endlinks.

 

I don't have the autoexe to compare it with evo-r but from what I was told they are from the same manufacturer. Like what I said, I've had in on my car for a few months now and so far so good. Visually, it seems and pretty good. I've heard that the ends have a tendency to rust but I haven't experienced that yet nor do I see any traces of possible rust build-up.

Anyway something to keep in mind while upgrading the sway bars is HOW the rx8 was designed and balanced to take turns. Body roll plays a role on how the rx8 grips, if you decide to go with a very stiff design you must make sure to have all the other supporting suspension mods tuned accordingly and it definitely takes some tests to find the right new balance.

 

I'm running Hotchkis on front, softest setting. Feels good to me, I autox quite a bit, car seems to rotate better with stock bar on rear. P.S. I have a rear bar I would part with.....LOL

 

No, I said that I've seen a few threads where people were looking to replace their stock endlinks, and a lot of people suggested AP.

 

Not to divert this thread too much, but are there polyurethane bushings for the stock (well, actually Shinka) sways? The stock rubber seem to wear quite rapidly.
