Any experience with Kuhmo Ecsta ASX?

I use winter tires for my winter months, and I think this might be the last year they last. So, I'll have to replace them next winter.

My original summer tire already need replacing.

I checked out the Kuhmo Ecsta ASX and all of their stats seem better than my factory installed bridgestone potenza tires. The snow performance does not seem as good as my dedicated winter tires, but I am thinking that these might be a good tire going forward so, that I don't have to keep changing tires during summer and winter months. What do you guys think? Any one has had any experience with these all season ASX tires? How do they hold? I live in Pittsburgh, and hence, snow is moderate to low.

I have a set of them on now and i like them, for the price. They were inexpensive and that was one of the main reasons that I got them a few months ago. Grip seems to be good, but I don't push the car all that hard most of the time. the one time I did push the car through some linked corners they seemed to hold their own....The speed3's that were following me certainly couldn't hang.

Have not had any cold weather since I got them so the jury is still out on that. Wet traction is not great, but okay. i will still go to some winter tires in a few months, but the weather here dictates that. If I could start over I would have gotten a more aggressive summer tire, since I will switch to snow's anyway.

Hope this helps.

How is the wet traction compared to the stock tires? These are rated higher than the stock ones for both dry and wet conditions. That's why I was leaning towards these hoping for decent snow traction as well.

I never had problem with my stock tires as far as dry or wet traction is concerned; well, at least when I had the treads on them...

I have about 15K miles on a set of 245/40/18 Kumho ASX tires. As I run around -2 degrees of camber, and winters in VA can include a few snow days, these tires have served my daily driving purposes well. Decent in the wet, acceptable in the snow and comfortable for daily driving.

These are definitely not a performance tire and the sidewalls are extremely soft, but I run close to 40psi all around for a little better response on my commute. And with a 400 treadwear, these tires are wearing like bricks. Should last somewhere between 35-40K before needing to be replaced.
