Air Bags
I am considering putting in air bags to lower my car. I dont want to do lowering springs b/c i already bottom out from time to time. I have a friend that installs them so it would be pretty cheap for me to do since i only have to pay for parts. The only problem is he has done them on his trucks and other trucks/suvs. Since i dont know many people with bags in their car my main concern is the handling gonna be worse or better at high speeds. I have rode in his truck before and after and it rides smoother with the bags but i he has never had the truck 90+ mph.

ever wonder why bags aren't offered on supercars where technology & price are virtually limitless?
a) heavy & high volume- compressors, tanks, etc have to be placed somewhere, usually in the trunk; throws off balance & just makes the car an obese show toy...
b) response- may make for a cozy ride, but last time i checked, that isn't what a sports car is about
c) some things were meant to be PIMPed or ghettofied, but the 8 isn't one of them!
There's my opinion, take it for whatever you feel it is worth.

actually check out http://www.ridetech.com/productinfo/airstrut.asp , the last time I was there they were developing a system for sports cars, Firestone was also doing the same but I'm not sure they ever got it done. You are going to have mount a compressor somewhere and a tank, and that's going to be interesting. If I did it I coild probably fit a compressor under the hood where my stock airbox used to be, but the tank...er...well, that would be a fun one to figure out. You might want to consider adjustable coilovers instead, the rise/drop won't be as dramatic or as cool as bags (I'm a mini-trucker at heart) but it will still slam the shizzle out of your ride and give you some adjustability while also allowing you to keep and maybe even improve your handling. Just my thoughts, bagging an 8 would be cool in my book, but it kind of kills a lot of what is fun about this car, namely carving through turns at double, sometimes triple the speed advisory signs
