Now looking at those Greddy wheels I can see the resemblance but still think the 522's look like there own style

agreed! I wish a "legit" brand made similar looking wheels (that aren't te37's)

Not everyone has TE37's, it's just there are a lot or reps out there, and I don't see them on 8's everyday. RE30's are probably just as or more common, as much as I see them on the Subie, Evo crowd. I wouldn't turn down a nice set of TE37's if they were the right price and size, especially the Tokyo Time Attacks.

te37s are so played out.

im getting CE28N reps, or a set of agressive gram lights if the price and size is right.

its the same here, except its 1 out of every 5 people and they are either varrstoens or rotas, and the other 3 are other rotas, and the other 1 use legit wheels.

let me rephrase, Authentic TE's will always be hot. Im getting sick of the varrstoen/rota TE's.

That blue R3 with TE-37s is sauce. Agreed that legit TE's are actually pretty rare.

Yea I've seen one pair of legit TE's on the street and it was a friend of mine back when I was rolling an S-chassis like 7 yrs ago. haven't seen any unless it was a indoor nice car show other than that nothing but Varrs, and rota knocks.

I have to agree with Eric on that note. Rotas have that hyper black version of the TE that every one runs here. civics, vws, no matter what is is.

All you guys saying you are tired of the Rota TE ripoff need to remember it has nothing to do with TE37. You wonder why people hate replicas? Well this is one of the main reasons. You take something great, clone it and then sell it cheap and now everyone has a copy. Then you get a bunch of people saying it is played out...

well said, I never understood why they hate on replicas so bad besides the quest for originality. that just changed my outlook on things.

I understand as well but, there is still nothing like the real thing. you know when someone is rocking knock offs,so to me the knock offs are played out if anything.
