The only type of car I would personally own on air would be a VIP styled car. VAG cars can be cool on air as well but realistically, I would probably stick to coils. GTI's can be pretty fast!
looking to go lower...and slaughter all wheel gap. any tips on tire size ill need?
rim specs are:
19x8.5 +25 (245/35 tires up front)
19x9.5 +35 (275/30 tires in the rear)
the rear fender is trimmed and the rear metal tab removed, i realize i may have issues with the front clear corner...
i suspect these tires i currently have on will be too meaty though, i might have to step it down a notch in size, any ideas on tire size?
heres the most recent pic i could find, only thing changed since the pic was taken is the front tires (now they are the same brand as the rears in this pic)

Hmm, I would recommend checking to see where you would have rubbing issues, and choose sizing accordingly. To do so, slowly drive forward/back onto a curb incline. When you sense rubbing, pull the e-brake and go check out to see where it is rubbing and determine how much smaller tire size you would need. Remember, a 10mm increase/decrease in tire size will equate to a ~5mm change to outer position (keep in mind that different tire brands/models have differing sidewall designs as well).
thanks tilt, good idea!
and yeah i agree on the sidewall designs, the nitto 555 tires i have on now have a very straight sidewall, but i remember when i had falkens the sidewall had an almost stretched look and the tires were the same size

The R3 kit really looks great. I can't say I'm the biggest fan of the car overall but it seems enough people here love it! Props for taking the 'donk' out of 20's though
lol!
