Agency Power Brakelines

Has anyone tried out the aforementioned lines? It seems that they have a cover over the braided steel to protect from dust and that they're DOT legal. Any feedback or opinion would be welcomed.

ditto. install was a piece of cake. quality made items. you don't really feel a noticeable difference since the stock lines won't be completely stretched out.

Good only for looks. Gives a stiffer feeling but doesn't help performance.

Braided lines have been known to get pinched on the track.

Pinched by what? It looks like the Agency Power lines (unlike the Goodridge lines) use the same mid-line attachment spot as the OEM rubber lines to prevent the danger of having one long line hanging in the breeze.

I understand it doesn't give a performance benefit, but I love rock hard brake pedals.

Pinched? I don't believe that. I have never seen or heard of that.

i had mine on the track...no problems. the rock hard pedal you feel won't be that noticeable.

True, but I'm looking for fade resistance that are superior to that needed on tracks for 15 or 30 minute lapping sessions. Any extra pedal hardness would be great too.

I have the Goodrich lines, there's nothing wrong with the way they do the mid-way mounting point

Fade resistance has little to do with the flexible brake line

In terms of actual brake bite that is true, however the OEM rubber lines will expand when the fluid is hot causing your pedal to be a bit softer.

the pedal will travel a miniscule amount further and you have to push a small amount harder to compensate, it still has nothing to do with fade resistance, fade is losing braking power regardless of how hard you push on the pedal

Team, you're thinking of one type of fade; that of boiling brake fluid which reduces the actual amount of braking you have. I'm talking about another type of that, this type does not decrease your braking power, but does affect the feel of the brake pedal (causing problems in pedal modulation). I think this is termed green fade, but it's been a long time since I last read Tune to Win.

Pinched by going over curb or off track, Hitting a rock or a rock coming up and hitting the line.

Not very common, but it has happened.

Discussion with Tri point racing agrees this can happen.

That book is how old??? OE brake lines were a lot different then ... unless you're in a real competition scenario don't bother. Plenty of people are tracking with their OE flex brake hoses without any issues. IMO you're making a mountain out of a molehill. No book ever replaced practical experience ...

^^ word. it's not really that big of a difference. fade has nothing to do with lines. lines don't help brake harder either, they're only for feel. i'd be more concerned with brake fluid, rotors, and pads.

Agreed. I used the Stoptech Stage 2 upgrade on mine. Came with Slotted rotors, pads, lines, and Motul fluid.

Costs about 650 bucks for the whole pacakge, but thats cheaper than buying it all seperately.
