aftermarket wheels, stock height

Searched but did not find much. Anything that can look good on a stock suspension? If so, what size, width, offset? Pictures more than welcome!

Is it just my phone or do those replies contain no information?

Guess I should have said useful information. I've been a member of many car forums but this one is exceptionally difficult to extract info from. Guy said he searched. Even using google images brings up very little, and what it does bring up often has no description.

I think the OP was looking for actual pictures or specific specs on wheel/tire combos that fill out a stock ride height car.

Would it be so hard to actually answer questions? I myself have searched looking for pictures or specs on a decent looking setup. Working 60hrs a week leaves little time to search through forums for hours on end. Sometimes people just need a quick, simple answer.

Whatever happened to helping a brother out? Are we so consumed with our own egos we withhold information to feel superior to our fellow man.

Well the fact is many of us here work a lot of hours as well. Some of us just happen to post here while working. The number of requests like this seems to increase monthly and to be honest it gets annoying. Also the OP did not mention what he searched for and results he found. The majority of these vague requests I respond to will get a response from the OP, "I saw that" or "I already know". Or they do not ever respond again or some other lame answer. For instance this person that was so curious has not logged back in to 8club since 2/25.

I admit 8club can be difficult at times to get information from the members. But at the same time you will see a lot of members here to be extremely helpful. You get as much out of 8club as you put into it. That is what it really boils down to. Stick around and show a willingness to learn and contribute and you see just how helpful this place can be

Well then replace me for the OP and help me out. U can spit out numbers to me all day but until I see pics on an actual car it means nothing. And it's incredibly difficult to search for something that specific and get a result in the form of an image.

Example. I want XXR 521s. Staying stock height. Want flush or a hair slightly less than flush with fenders on all four corners, and I want some meat on the rim. I want to be able to look down the side of the car and see fender, tire flush with fender, then rim nestled ever so comfortably a mm or three behind the rim :-)

not to mention the op's question is very subjective. Who am I to tell him what looks good. I don't tell him how to dress.

you reply is no more helpful to him than ours were. Less actually. Mine linked him to tirerack which will let him see the wheels of his choice on his car. Seemed pretty much what he wants.

If you can't find pictures of rx8's with different wheels on them on this site, you need to learn how to read, use a forum, or google search. Seriously, there is a thread dedicated to every color and in both series rx-8, there are multiple "Best Wheels" threads, multiple wheel manufacturer threads, a row of gallery pictures at the top of the main page, and multiple fitment threads. Not to mention there is a dedicated section to wheels and suspension for each series.

Will it fit thread is a sticky in the section i mentioned above. Almost all of those questions you just asked have been answered with in, or you can post the questions there and they'll get answered.

PS. there is no such thing as flush with stock height. Well, it won't look flush I should say. Too much wheel gap. The closer to flush you are the more lifted your call will look.

Ah now that last paragraph was helpful. Maybe I'm wanting the wrong thing since I can't go lower.

Well the entrance to my subdivision has a sizable curb to go over. (water control from main road). Soooo, when I have two or three people in the car or something sizable in the trunk it *THUNKS* on the bottom of the car going over it.

And seeing as how I don't mind the ride height and I'm quite fond of the neighborhood I'm trying to do what we civilized human being call "compromise."

Good grief, get a truck, think of the mileage I'd get with that.

J/k

In all seriousness I'm not swapping out vehicles because lowering this one is inconvenient.

Go to the Wheels section and run an advanced search for "Calling All" and you see a bunch of threads for specific brands. There will a ton of pictures of aftermarket wheels on 8 that are stock height, lowered on springs or lowered on coilovers.

If want to be specific on the color of your car then do advanced search "Calling All" in the Multimedia section for pictures of members cars. Again you will find lots of pictures of the 8 with aftermarket wheels that are stock height, lowered with springs, or lowered with coilovers.

I guarantee you that you will find lots of pictures of exactly what you want.

If you want specific fitment information then read through the "Will It Fit" thread in the Wheels section.

You kids and your short sightedness, geesh. I'm not that hard up to look cool. I'll find a way to have a nice set of rims that compliment the car while not inconveniencing my life everyday.

Disregard if you weren't talking to me :-P
