Won't start, theft mode?

Ok so my car was parked in the driveway, was just driving perfectly fine! I have an 04 with 57,000 on it. I was listening to some music while playing basketball and when i was done just took the key in and went outside. Later that night I tried to start it and its just turns and turns and turns. Lights come on, music plays, everything seems fine. Went and got the battery checked and recharged, its good. Dont think its the starter because its trying to turn over just wont start. Looked at all the fuses, none blown. Fuel pump is good... me and my buddy are way stumped! Any help or thoughts to what it is before I have to put it in shop? Thanks ahead of time

What kind of key do you have, Advanced Keyless (credit card) or switchblade? Was it switched to the "ON" or the "ACC" position while playing music? Were the doors open or closed?

I'm thinking it may have defaulted into a theft mode.

Its a 6spd, and I honestly dont remember! how do you get it out of theft mode? my buddy thought the same thing so we hooked it up to his car and let it run for 20 min while my key was in the on position? he said thats the way he did it on a gm so wasn't sure if it would work or not

To be clear, I am only guessing. It may be from some other problem.
