Problem just started randomly yesterday, I got in the car and went to turn it over and all it did was make a high pitched screeching noise, like something is scraping.

It will still start at random times but go back to making that noise and not starting. Its got me confused im gonna run some codes and see what I end up with.

 

Time for a new starter. Sounds like the starter bendix gear is not fully engaging the ring gear on the flywheel. Be careful starting the car as this can cause damage to the flywheel ring gear. $$$
Also might want to check your battery and alternator output just to make sure they are all right.

 

I just got a brand new clutch installed not even a day before it started happening, this wouldn't have any effect on whats happening would it?

For all future readers, my horrible screeching noise when starting up came from an exploded throwout bearing. The car was basically unstartable until the bearing, and the demolished clutch, were both replaced.

 

In my situation 3 years ago it was the transmission bearing crazy rattle noise without clutch pressed so I swapped to a 2011 upgrade no problem since 💯
