Sounds like you have low compression.
What year is it? Manual or Automatic? How has it been driven? What maintenance have you done? When was the last time that plugs, wires, coils were changed? Do you know if the car has the upgraded starter (this applies only to 04,05 models)? Do you get any CELs?
