Today i finally got out of my new engine break in period and got her to redline only to receive a lovely screeching/whine from 7-9k rpms. I try again in 2nd gear this time and same thing. Sounded like a blown supercharger. Im going to go and tighten my alternator belt in a bit to see if maybe its just loose or if im dealing with some other problem. Could this just be the engine breaking in or does something sound wrong? And one more thing i have noticed is after i drive the car for a good 30-60 mins and park it and get in it later in the day when i first start it the car has misfires and if i immediately drive right when its started like this the car lurches and misfires for about 30 secs and then all seems fine.
