I hear a strange noise coming from the passenger side, it happens when the engine is hot and its always around 4 to 5k rpm and it comes with a power loss. if i give it a little more gas it goes away but then comes back. Have new coils, wires, midpipe, just did the seafoam.... don't have a clue.

Sounds like a vibrating heat shield to me

I had a bad bearing in my a/c idler pulley that sounded similar. My initial thought was a heat shield which is what I told the douches at Mazda. They ended up replacing the whole a\c compressor.

No, the a/c didn't act strange and worked fine before it was diagnosed as the issue.

I'm not saying that is what it is but that is what I experienced which sounded the same at very similar RPMs.

So you guys think i should check the heat shield?? Could that be the cause for the lack of power?? I was thinking more of a bad bearing or the clutch disk. Could it be a bad maf???

Alsoevery time i turn the a/c on... The car starts to shake and feels like its gonna shut down and some times it does. I have new coils and wires what could that be???
