Weird *** Problem With Tiptronic Tranny

I have a 2004 Auto RX-8

I was making a u-turn, and couldn't complete it, so I went in reverse, then went off to drive (manual mode) when I saw that the car was in Neutral, and the the shift **** was on manual mode.

No the shift **** is stuck, and I've tried just about everything a normal guy can do to try and fix it. Anybody have any idea? Before I spend a buttload of cash sending it to the dealer?
