Exclamation Vibration issues - another one..

Hi everyone Im new here, this site is full of good tips and discutions!

Im from norway so please excuse my english

I have been looking around here on the forums for a whine without registering, trying to figure out my problem(s)..

U see ive got a pretty terrible/annoying vibration in my car while idling, the gear-lever is moving around pretty much and u can feel the vibration while changing gears too.
The car has been to the dealer several times now with this problem and they cant figure it out, everything seems to be fine. but now they are going to change the enginemounts.
I know many here has had them replace too, but many still has the problem after the mounts are changed.. so Im not to sure about this.

BUT, can bad enginemounts cause the backwheels to "jump" when loosing grip also? cause thats been happening the last couple of months.. :s

So if anyone has a real answer to this i think it should be made a thread or sticky that explains the problem and what causes this, since so many people are worried by this..

best regard

PS: Ive got the engine replaced 2k ago, the vibration was there before and after

Your English is better than 50% of the people on here to begin with, so no worries.

Yes, I believe the engine mounts are probably most of your problem.

Having said that, there always could be other things but do that first and see what happens.

I haven't had this issue, so I don't know what else it could be.....so I'd have to search as well. I imagine plugs, even plug wires, and possibly coils could make this issue worse, but go for the engine mounts first then wait to see if that cures it or see what others say.

It's normal for the gear **** to shake.

And the jumping issue is your foot.

You taking off too fast. The car will hop.

no its not normal, no one would buy this car like this.

The backdoor rattles when open.. et feels/sounds like the engine is not running properly. The dealer has checked all that is too check so I hope the mounts do the trick.

- does the backwheels jump when u take off flat out too?

nothing exact I can put my finger on besides the vibration but it just feels much more managable and tight.
Also the tracking has improved dramaticly, dont really now why.. but it has

Glad it helped! Woot!

You know that it's going to vibrate some(speaking of the shifter), especially at idle.
Keep your hand off of it except when shifting. So in terms of the overall car shaking........what is the reduction percentage in vibration you had?

thanks!

Im aware of the normal vibration from the engine at idle, u can say I can hear that the engine is operating/vibrating the same as before, but it doesn't get to the car itselft, if u get me
I could taste success as I turned the key to start it, absolutely no vibration/shaking, this is nothing Ive noticed before but i could absolutely feel the difference now.

The gearlever just slightly vibrates now, could be a girls best frient,)

As to the before after thing I can just say that my backdoors rattled good when open before and the whole car kinda "shaked" on idle, the rpm was and is 100% stable.
Now its just the same, but the wobling STAYS at the engine and the rest of the car is just fine, i can probably feel 10% off the vibrations in the car no. But the dealer has checked all there is to check so I believe it just has to be like this..

Its also tracks better and is more forgiving on and off the throttle.

- Anyone else that has that forward backwards wobling when off and on the gas-pedal?
