BTW, I see that you'll be busy at Indy this year.

 

Took the car to service.

they cleaned the air filter ,
cleaned something between the filter
and that pipe don know whats that called MAF? maybe?
disconnected the ecu
checked all connections
and also checked the throttle body and now the test.....

8000 rpm in 1st 2nd 3rd...... NO problem
driving at 175km/h for 60 mins ...NO Problem (cant take more than 180kmh JDM spec ...)
slowing down at high speed in Neutral ...NO Problem No CEL
Stalled vehicle 4 times for test purpose ....NO CEL but CEL came before when stalled once and limp mode if stalled twice.

All test done at 85*F degres ambient temp . and lot of humidity (its Bangladesh...)

Vehicle driven about 100 miles after service. will keep you guys posted.

 

MAF = Mass Air Flow sensor

 

Has anyone here ever heard of a MAF causing a P2106?

 

you think problem was with maf? they just cleaned it didn say there was a code for it....they did bunch of electrical connection stuff .... But i am still wondering why vehicle showed cel when stalled twice and went to limp mode and why doesn it do now. i mean jeeeezzzz.....

 

Ok I conclude my rx 8 is now pretty much stable with no CEL after the service. runs really good. 300 miles on the clock since last CEL. hope it stays that way.
