How did he act the dumbass? The dealership were the ones that fucked him over. Dude listen to NY the Plugs and coils are cheap. BUT LIKE I SAID WORRY ABOUT THE PRICES LATER FIRST GROW SOME ***** AND GO TO THE DEALERSHIP AND FIGHT YOUR GOD DAMN CASE. If I were you me paying would be the last thing on my mind. The dealership obviously knows **** all about the car and are just getting you to foot the bill because they don't know what the **** they did so they are just following the procedure Mazda told them.

Man, Solidtrance, w0rm, nycgps, colin204, bsteimel, chrism, HiTMaNN, scrapin 240, TeamRx8, Razz1, and Old Rotor I owe you guys one!

I spoke to Mazda again today, and gave them the complete story. To sum it up, Alonzo at Mazda called the dealership and then he called the district manager. He said the district manager was very unhappy when he heard the situation and is going to contact the dealership.

I have a feeling the tide has turned here. Hopefully I get some good news tomorrow, I will let you guys know right away.

Thanks again.

good to hear! Tell them to check the 'crank, no start' TSB. If this wasn't done to your car prior, it might be worth it for the dealership to just do it now. (at their expense of course)
Keep us posted.

Well, *seriously* speaking. It might really NOT the dealership's fault. your starter and stuff *might be* failing anyway. It just happen to fail at the *right* time *cough at the dealership cough*

or like we said b4, they might be just trying to make a few quick bucks from you ~ I wouldnt be surprise cuz too many dealerships does these kind of crap.

So ... let us know how it goes !

It is also possible that they tried to re-start the car with out pulling the plugs and just fried your starter trying to get it cranked. Then assumed bad coils by looking at your obviously fouled (now) plugs, totally forgetting the fact they just flooded the poop out of the car.

I read this and I wasn't sure what you meant / if I agreed with you.

Then I got a call back from Alonzo at Mazda customer service.

He says he went back and forth with the service manager, says he was bickering and cussing and all. I realize that I am lucky because I gave them the OK to perform the repairs, but Alonzo at Mazda was gracious enough to put this in his budget he said!

Long story short, I'm going to pick up my 8 right now, all I have to pay for is the tire.

Rx8club saves me once again! Words cannot explain how much you guys have helped me!!!

Needless to say, I will always contact Mazda first, before I authorize the dealer to perform anything that doesn't sound 100% normal to me.

I mean you got lucky which means I am surprised the dealership actually came through.
