Starting And Cutting Out Problems
Hi,
Basically i just thought id ask on here and see if anyone has any idea as to whats wrong, only owned the car about a month and when i got it it had no problems but now after only 2000 miles its become very problematic im getting
- Hot start problems takes a good 5 minutes before it will start
- Cutting out at high rpm like 6k and above its started just cutting out which as its also got the hot start problem its a real pain to get going again
Im just wondering if they can both be linked to compression or if there is a chance something else could be causing it? like could a dying fuel pump cause hot start problems and high rpm cut out?
The car is a 2004 manual 71k
Had oil serviced 2k ago, plugs 10k ago and starter motor is the updated one not sure when coils were last done
Thanks

Thanks for the reply, im going to try the coils tomorrow all going well and see about the cat and ive tried changing the starter but that was no good just same
Could coils or cat actually cause the hot start aswell or is it going to be two problems?
