Sorry i havent been able to update this thread. But as i mentioned, i added some product (similar to WD40) and that stopped the squeaking for about 3 days. Now its back occasionally. I might just pull the trigger on the race roots reinforcement bracket. I wanted the BHR one cause obviously anything BHR is better but cash is an issue right now.

Also will adding this bracket stop the squeaking or just reinforce the bracket so it doesnt break ???

Ill try getting some pics up tomorrow but everything seems fine to me.

Race Roots is pretty good also. With their bracket, you can at least reuse you clutch petal assembly and not have to throw it out. As far as it stopping the squeak, no one will give you a correct answer w/o seeing it in person. You might want to go through the Mazda TSB bulletins. I thought I read something about the clutch pedal assembly.

Sounds good and keep us posted. I believe that they did a study and found that only around 2% of the 8s are having the clutch pedal snap off.

If its a recall, than I dont believe you need a warranty but I am in the same boat as you. I payed for a starter over a year ago and found a TSB on the old starters like I had. I dont know if them writing a TSB means we get a fix for free. I just wrote The dealership to find out.

if the clutch pedal wiggles side to side, if so definitely get it reinforced, scary as **** to think while driving your clutch pedal snaps off... I had the squeak and my pedal seemed loose and was slowly drifting to the brake pedal... bought the reinforce bracket just in time, my pedal was already distorted/warped but i was able to hammer it back and attach the bracket. and its been working fine no squeak for the last 3k miles.

The clutch wiggles side to side A BIT. When i say A BIT i mean like an inch left or right. Another thing ive noticed is that my "engagement point" when releasing the clutch is alot farther. So in other words i have to let the clutch out a bit more for the car to engage so to speak.

Alright so i got time to get a few pictures. The sqeuaky is still there but its alot less often. It doesnt look like there is anything wrong with the bracket. Another thing ive noticed is that my "engagement point" when releasing the clutch is alot farther. So in other words i have to let the clutch out a bit more for the car to engage so to speak.

The bracket looks good for now.
Where exactly in the travel does it squeak?
There's another TSB for the limit switch at the bottom.
If it squeaks you can just grease the plunger lightly.

It squeaks at about 3/4 on the release of the clutch. Or 1/4 when im pressing the clutch. I did use some wd40 product. I will add some more tonight and see how it goes.
