squeak squeak

I've recently acquired an 04 M/T rx8. It drives beautifully and I love everything about it. However, shortly after I got it, it started making an annoying squeaking sound. The squeak increases in frequency the faster I drive and increases in pitch when I lightly apply the brakes, but it stops when i put more pressure on the brakes. Anyone have any idea what's going on? Any help or information would be greatly appreciated.

Could be a brake wear indicator and/or a warped rotor When was the last time this had brake pads replaced?

Hit up your local auto store get 3 small packs of brake squeel/grease, take off your from wheels remove the caliper and apply it to the back of the brake pads not the front that will touch the rotors. I just got new rotors and pads and had the same prob. But did not use all the pack. So it would squeel like crazy. Its so quiet now. Just did a 600+ round trip no squeel

Thanks for the advice but unfortunately I won't be able to try this until sometime when I'm home from college (probably thanksgiving break). But thanks again hopefully my squeal will be gone too
