so having trouble after winter sitting.
ok here is the issue, 2004 rx8 sat all winter. I went to start it today and nothing dead. ok got some jumpers and jumped it. seemed ok. starting driving it down the road and it just died. had someone come and jump me again. drove another mile and died again. jumped a third time and got it to my buddies house. i guess i realize the battery is shot plus the terminals have heavy corrosion and def will replace. I was worried because i thought once i jumped it and ran for alittle the alternator would at least keep it running and not just die while driving. could i have other issues? any thoughts? thanks.

Well I stored my RX8 for four months over the winter. Here's how I did it:
- Stabilizer in half tank of gas
- Put the car on jackstands
- Remove wheels and wrap suspension and brake components in plastic bags
- Stuff steel wool into intake box hole and exhaust to prevent rodents from entering
- Seal the paint and such
- Took me a month to realize I forgot to remove the battery... So I removed that.
This week I removed it from hibernation and here were my steps:
- Remove spark plugs and inject 5ml of premix and 20W50 into each housing
- Crank the motor with IGN Fuse removed to ensure lubrication
- Reinstall plugs and fuse
- Charge completely flat battery with 4 AMP charger for 10 hours
- Clean battery terminals and reinstall battery
- Pour 5 gallons of fresh 93 and 2oz of premix into tank to dilute old fuel
- Scrub brake rotors with ******-brite pad to remove slight surface rust from humidity
- Reinstall wheels and remove steel wool from holes
Fired right up and drove just fine.

I just filler her up, chock the wheels, put bags of baking soda in the car, covered the exhausts, and use some air cleaner.
I do tho drive her every 2 weeks if weather is good.
