There is this problem on my RX8 here.. Whenever my clutch is in the touching point for more than a few seconds..( for example, going reverse when parking the car.) there are always some smoky smell coming out from the vents with the a/c off and having outside air in. My 8 has only been driving for 6666kms.. Does anyone have any idea? Thanks!

 

Haven't had anything like that. I would definitely have it checked at the dealer ASAP.

 

Could it be that you are backing up into the exhaust gases? Just a thought.

 

It's the oil you smell burning off. My does it not all the time. You will smell it backing up from a cold start. Now I back my car in the garage and I never smell it.
