SLow Start

I have a
04 BB rx8 6-sp
MODS:
HKS HI Power
have an AEM CAI that i havent installed yet too

the car takes like 10 seconds to start, just a really long cranking time, any ideas what it can be? i have brand new plugs in it, ( 45 min since install)

Now that you started another thread....................look down below at the five threads that are now there. I'm sure those will help.
Searching would've done so at first(which should've been done IMHO), but now that you made yet another thread...............the title makes it show up similar threads.
What lead you to changing the plugs?

i hadnt changed in like a year, and answering to your comment about the threads; i looked but everyone else is having other probs, lol sorry for the extra thread. mine is just the slow starts, i thought maybe coils or starter?

SO, im sorry for the unnecessary thread and thanks for the help

Sounds like starter, especially since an 04, but one can't be sure. Has the battery been checked out?
I would read all those other threads and see what info will help you.
I was asking about the plugs because all the suddenly I thought....well, maybe he thought the plugs were the issue behind the long starts...meaning it had long starts before the plug change and you expected that to cure it.......know what I mean? Glad it was for another reason because the plugs wouldn't have been a very likely culprit given that it does start and run.

thank you for the help and i did slightly think that was the problem too plus i did need them changed anyway. i'm almost leaning on a starter prob and my battery is a year old.

What battery are you running? with the cold temps in chi town, you need plenty of CCA
