Shifting Issues! HELP PLEASE
Hey guys
got the exedy stage one clutch fit in today by a pro rotary shop.
After it was finished i drove home and noticed at idle its almost impossible to shift and even when moving its hard at high rpms..
called the guy up and he said it may be clutch slave cylinder..
My question to you rx8 pros is is it that or the flywheel maybe?

like 1 or 2 inches above the floor..
wierd thing s i just drove it now, it shifts ok in the beginning then becomes hard, reverse is impossible to get into.. and it over idles at 1200rpm but when you depress the clutch slightly ut goes to 850 which is normal

Clutch switch isn't happy.... That will make the idle strange..usually it hunts up and down between 800 and 1200..
Adjust the clutch so the clutch grabs a lot earlier...you likely are having a difficult time because it isn't disengaging completely the way it is. It might need bleeding as well if they let the actuator rod fall out of the slave when they did the install
Can't see why you would need a new slave unless they screwed it up..or it wasn't working properly before the install

before install everything was perfect other then minor slipping bro,
do you think it has anything to do with the flywheel?.
just to add that when in 1st, the gas grabs right away

The flywheel should be OK...they should have looked at it when they put the clutch in
Now isn't the time to be figuring that out.
Get the clutch bleed...the free play adjusted...check your clutch pedal bracket at the same time...and check the clutch switches to see they are working properly...and you should be good

according to them flywheel had minor high spots but from what i know shifting is not really affected by the flywheel
ill get it bled tomorrow! clutch pedal bracket was changed prior due to snapping,
again thanks bro
