All of a sudden the security light has began flashing. This happens even if car is disarmed. Blinks about every 4 sec. Disappears once car starts. Nothing else seems different, or not working

Manual states take it to Mazda agent for check.

Any ideas or things to check first

 

Got it checked no errors so I have the following question

Does your security light flash when the key is out or only when armed?

Trying to find out what is normal, oh did change the remote battery.
