I've been in contact with Samco and I just shipped the one incorrect hose back to them in the UK. They're going to replace it with the one from the US RX-8 kit. Originally I just sent a webform email to them from their website, so that's where you should start if you want the replacement. Very nice guys over there, and helpful. PM me if you want any other info...

I've been in contact with mark from samco since February. He said someone was sending one in over a month ago and was expecting an email from him once it was fixed, but I didn't so I just emailed him.

Yeah, Mark is the one I've been talking to as well. His emails to me started bouncing back for some strange reason, so I eventually just called him in the UK office and confirmed everything.

Got my hose in a few days ago, but haven't had time to install it. They do offer the new kit. Here is the part number for the US version
TCS-544/C. This one includes the new hose. MSRP is 316.82. They also released the new polished clamp kit CK-544/C. Hope this helps anyone out. Maybe BHR will carry it again, but I doubt it and I wouldn't blame Charles either.

So when I shipped the hose back to Mark a couple months ago, he never received it, even though the post office said someone did receive the package at Samco. But an email to Mark took care of that, and he sent me the new hose anyway.

When I replace this lower coolant reservoir hose, how much coolant should I expect to flush out of there? The other Samco hoses are already installed and I'm hoping this will be a quick and not-too-messy job.

Thanks guys.

You might as well just drain the whole system. Replacing that hose with coolant still in the over flow will make a mess.

Go with the autobahn kit, half the price. Good quality and no fitment issues

If price isn't an issue Samco makes more colors, and fitment is no issue on the Samco anymore, as we worked with Samco to fix the issue.

zenaracing & KuramaShop2(Where I got mine) both are ebay sellers. My kit came with bother hose pieces from the UK or US spec kit and the fitment was perfect. I did go with Mizu hoses to tho as I found after close inspection that the upper and lower rad hoses from the Samco kit where very poorly finished internal which impedes coolant flow, nothing detrimental just did not like the way they where finished so I am currently running pieces from both kits

The MIZU kit is what? two pecies? The good think about the Samco stuff is it comes with so much. Sadly i dont think i am using half of mine anymore with my new AST so a Mizu kit would have been fine.

Those two hoses are so huge compared to peak flow rate that the internal finish can't influence it.

When I was 18 I'd only wash my car in the direction of airflow because I didn't want the surface scratches to impede it.

Misapplied theory + ignorant anality = dumbass on steroids

like most of the things I give people a hard time about, it comes from the direct experience of my own stupidity
