Hello, I have a 2004 Mazda RX8 and It will start and idle as well as drive but it seems like it has a lack of power. There is a sputter in the engine when the rpms drop but doesnt sound bad at idle. It was not throwing any codes and does NOT have check engine light as well as any other light. I dont work on cars too much so im not sure what it is. I have 93k on it and was wondering what could be wrong and how expensive it would be to repair? please help

have you tried searching around this forum for answers? The issue your describing could be many things.
When was the last time you had a regular maintenance check?

no i Don't really have time to check around i work 3 jobs and it is hard for me to get on the computer im hoping for a reply that might help me figure out what it is. i think it might be a fuel injector but i don't know

well then, the issues could be many. If you don't have time to read through a few pages, then you likely don't have time to perform any maintenance yourself. Just take it in and have a shop check your ignition coils/ spark plugs, cat converter, etc.

Are you even sure there is a lack of power? Give as much detail as you can, regarding your issue.

i don't want to be mean or flame you, but i'm sure there is a thread with a similar problem that could have easily been found in a few minutes. probably around the same time as this well thought out thread was made. also, it sounds like it's either you plugs, wires, or coils like the above comment stated. but seeing as how you work three jobs and cannot muster the time to search for something that has been talked about in countless threads, you should probably sell the 8 because it requires more attention than most cars.
