Liguors

About 2 months ago i purchased my 2005 RX-8 and about 2 and a half weeks ago
i have put one of those ipod adapters that plugs into where the cd changer goes. it was working perfectly fine for the 2 weeks i had it installed. all of a sudden about 3 days ago it just stopped working. i thought maybe i blew a fuse or it got unplugged from the bumpy NY roads. i pulled the radio out and noticed it was still plugged in. i put my radio back in, and proceeded to check EVERY fuse in the car. there was none blown. i turned the car on and pressed the "CD" button and noticed the iPod adapter turned on and started to charge the iPod but would not play and then about 30 seconds later it would turn off. i then pulled the radio... again and unplugged the iPod adapter to see if it would at least play regular CD's, which it would not play any CD. i put in burned CD's and a brand new one from the store and neither worked.....
Anyone know whats going on?
i really don't want to buy a new radio....
