Another one bites the best
Got suspicious about a month ago, at first i only noticed it in second and third gear. When i would get above the revs above 5k i heard a odd noise, sounded like it came from the intake. I checked for intake leaks and nothing so figured it could be the cat or coils. It wasnt happening everytime and for some time it actually went away. In that same period i got my volks in, huge thanks to monique
Just last week it heard the noise again, but this time it occured in first, fourth as well as in second and third gears. But even worse is i was getting a loss of power in the 5k-7k range once it it reach the higher 7k's it seemed to be back to normal. So decided i would schedule an appointment with the dealership and get a compression test and replace the coils.
Appointment was scheduled for tomorrow but the poor thing didnt make it that long i was driving home on sunday and as a throw it into second gear i heard loud cranking noise and the engine turns off on me.... thankfully a mazda dealership was right across the street it died on me from so got a push in. After they ran some tests they gave me a call to tell me it was a blown engine.
I only got 75k kms on it but the ****** at the dealership are trying to tell me im not covered by the warranty because i bought the car from chicago and brought it north of the border.... Not buying that so gonna give the corps a call tomorrow morning and get this dealt with and get myself a new FREE engine
