IL Reman injectors

Don't mean to start a useless thread. I just want to put the word out.

I had performed a rebuild with RA super seals and bought a brand new set of reman injectors from ebay for my 6 port manual. once I got the care running it ran fine for about 15 miles, but then it started to run like crap. I would drive down the highway and the cabin would have so much white smoke of raw fuel coming in from the trans tunnel. At idle the STFT would hang out at -25% with LTFT at -7 once in closed loop. It would sputter and miss fire with the CEL flashing once running again. Car also would not restart hot.

I have been going back and forth with replacing the MAF, upstream 02, all Vacuum solenoids and Extension manifold gaskets. I even rechecked the injector wiring 3 times thinking I rewired them wrong.

I went to the salvage yard today in ford heights area of Chicago suburbs and there were 2 rx8's there waiting to be rapped. I pulled a set of 6 injectors and cut the EV6 injector connection to use for a PWM set up. I rigged the injectors to the car battery to flow some carb cleaner through them. I installed them and now the car runs perfectly fine. Purrs at idle with no hiccups and restarts hot every time with no clouds of white smoke.

I am currently reaching to the ebay store that sold me the shitty injectors. It was all 6 reman and cleaned/flow tested for 200 free shipping. They did not provide flow test results so it is slightly my fault. I ohmed them out and they met the spec of 13.8 ohms. I believe they were flow matched to flow double if not triple the rate necessary for a stock rx8.

Beware of the link below. Do not buy injectors from this store. You are better off sending out your injectors out to get flow tested and rebuilt with paper work. Injector rehab is a good one and so is strictly modified in Schaumburg IL

One of the most important parts on an engine that nobody ever wants to spend any money on

I sent my injectors to WitchHunter Performance to be cleaned and flow tested while I argued with my rebuilder about his crap work.

It included a report of before/after flow rates and gave me all sorts of warm fuzzy feelings for $22/ea.

Yeah, a live and learn for me. I know what to do for now on. I will either buy new or get reman from a reputable source.

A very experienced Renesis race engine builder who also provides that injector service suggested that going new is best and even then you’ll get some variation. Just like coils, injectors on a rotary engine see a much higher cycle rate than a piston engine. Nobody on here ever suggests replacing your injectors every 30k miles, or at least not until they come up with a magical set to sell you ...

This is the reply i got back from the ebay store called reuzeit-autoparts

"Returns are hassle free, if you want to get a refund you just have to go to: "my purchase history" select: "return this item" than you will be able to print a label; Once we get them we can provide you with pictures or video of the injectors being tested, you will be able to see the flow pattern. sorry you are dissapointed with our product."
