hi all,wondering if u can advise me-
bout a month ago spark plugs went on my car,replaced them and one coil that was no good then maybe a wk ltr i get CEL garage tell me need a new cat so put new cat on... ever since then every couple of days i get cel reading random misfire,getting sick of it now as its been in and out of the garage A LOT recently and havin already spent nearly £1000 on it....
replaced the leads the other day,car seemed better but again... today CEL back on
can u advise at all whats wrong as the garage are even baffled with it now and are saying its maybe my tips need replacing
its an 06 model btw

Have you had the code read?
Coils and plugs should be checked and changed at the same time, as the breakdown of one will affect the other.
First thing to do is get the CEL code read!

its been read numerous times the original fault was p0301 on the invoice i hav,as for this new reoccurring fault he just told me its the random misfire code.. not sure if that is the same code

Check to make sure all of your leads, coils and wires are seated properly.
Most likely, it is a failing/failed coil. You can check those with a coil tester. Or, you can purchase 4 new coils and install.

i am not gud with cars at all usualy send to garage are they easy to do yourself?
was thinking coils tbh but as they cost £75 each over in the UK(what i was charged)was leaving and hoping it wasnt that

as i hav no idea whereabouts are they on the engine? underneath around the back? sorry i hav no clue :/

yes, looking at the engine, the coils are to the right. Follow the wires to the leads.
