okay so I;m driving, and all of a sudden i hear this random beep, no its not the redline lol, just a beep, I;m not moving and then randomly beep.. not a clue what it is, I searched and found nothing... any ideas? cars an 06 gt `45000km on it.. any ideas??? it is raining outside, but I doubt the water is doing anything

 

do any lights flash? CEL? etc
Can you pinpoint where the noise is coming from? How may times does/ has it beep?

 

in a trip of around 10km it beeped 3 times, no cel nothing, so strange, its coming from the cluster that I know..

 

just curious, do you have your dials set to "beep" when you switch them?

 

i do, but i did not touch anything, ``just imagine forgetting your lights and opening the door, and you hear that long beep, well its the same sound however its very short, like 1 second, coming directly our of the cluster, i just checked my car for codes, and got an evap pending fault, large leak, so i corrected my gas cap and maybe thats what caused it, I'm not sure.

 

hmm I don't think that that would be an issue...
Have you checked your fuses? Maybe a light is failing on your car?
You don't have TPMS, do you?

Could be a bad door switch. Did any lights come on?

 

lol monchie, and no lights, i heard it again this evening, im gonna see if there is a pattern to the beep, like mileage or time or speed or revs ect.. i searched the web aswell and nothing... thank god someone else was in the car with me when the sound was going on, so i know im not crazy

 

maybe your both crazy :P ok but on a serious note its probably a sensor gone bad. If its not the door sensor it must be the rev indicator, in which case a ghost needs to be tracked down.

i had this same exact issue happen to me yesterday. it beeped a couple times then didn't do it again. weird....

 

Got the long beep, followed by a short beep. Was driving at wide open throttle at the time, and was not near red line. I happened to be making a video of the boost gauge on my GoodBox at the time.

Checked the CEL codes via my Accesport and got:
RKE
P1000

Will update if I find any more info.
