Radio stopped working after ECU flash?
This is quite strange and maybe somebody can help..The Dealer was of no help and just told me to replace the whole radio and front-plate.
I had to replace the ECU in the car recently as I had bricked the original one. In chronological order, I installed the second-hand ECU in the car, turned the key to make sure everything work and alas, everything worked. Radio worked, all the lights worked, everything hunky dunky.
Got it towed to the dealer so they could reprogram it and recode MY key to work on that ECU. That was all well and done, but when I got the car back it started, but the radio wouldn't turn on. AC controls work, but the LCD and Radio does not.
I've taken the radio out several times and checked the connections on the front plate (the two rows of pins that connect to the headunit) and it seems to be all well and good..last thing I might do is take the PCB off and connect it straight onto the radio to rule out that as being an issue.
But wouldn't the radio still work, even if they had to reflash the computer and everything? The dealer did say the radio 'has power', however I can't per say, eject a CD or anything.

I am confused? You brought it to the dealership to have the radio fix, but when you got it back from them, it's still not working properly? I am still confused

That is correct. Was working the day itook the car in, got it back and the radio didn't work and they have no idea why. I just got a replacement headunit and faceplate from a member here so hopefully that will fix it
