Radiator light comes on and off

I got the radiator light a couple of times in the last month and I was wondering if my radiator fluid is too low or not. I saw it coming on everytime it's cool outside, about 50 degrees, but goes off immediatly after I start to drive. I changed the oil last week and the mechanic checked off the radiator fluid as good, even though I know that he might have not checked it at all. My car has 26K miles on an 04 and is a manual if that helps. TIA!

i'd check it yourself, even if you need only an ounce or two to make the light go off.

How do I check it? I've never had to deal with the radiator fluid for the 8 before. Thanks

Open your owner's manual. The instructions for checking coolant level are in there... Lots of other useful stuff too ;-)

Oh, and check it while it's cold or you will overfill it.

So does the line inside the bottle represent anthing? Because I can't tell how much radiator fluid I have in the car from the outside, it's probraly 1/2 an inch from F to L.
