Power steering issue?
Ok...i dont know how to begin....this is what happened or happens i guess...
-I get up in the morning and start my car via remote start (as i always have)
-10-15 min past and i go out to my car, put the key to the right position and im good to go.
-RECENTLY i repeat same procedure but when i turn my steering wheel for the first couple turns, aka out of my driveway, it seems like theres a short, and all the electronics if you will in my car shut off, then back on. (flickers)
-I was testing it, put in neutral, and when i turn the wheel hard the lights dim like its using to much power. Sometimes it resets all my radio settings and puts the car in a factory mode it seems like.
Now, i have also installed some floor lights in my car, 2 strips of LED's. I have this wired directly to the fuse box, cant think of where right now. SO when the car is on, the lights turn on.
Now this was the only thing changed recently, but i had them working 3-4 weeks no problem before i started getting this power shortage.
Now i know to test this i can simply disconnect the lights and see if the problem persists. Just figured i would throw this out there if anyone else had a similar problem, or could know what this is due from.
your help is appreciated.

this doesn't sound like a power steering issue as much as a general electrical issue.
how long have you had the remote start? Maybe it's related?
Define 'all the electronics'. What exactly is flickering? radio? lights? Tachometer?
do any warning lights come on?
I'd double check any aftermarket wiring you have and start there. Maybe something is loose or there's a short.

Well, it will be interesting to see what you end up with.
Personally, at this point, I would go have my alternator tested just for ***** and giggles, but you could be dealing with a short in the steering wheel harness somewhere?
Yeah, disconnect those lights and see what happens, when you do.........let us know where exactly you had them plugged in.
Whenever you disconnect the battery for any length of time, you will have to reset the TCS/DCS.
Turn the car to on, but do not start.
Turn the wheel all the way one way and then all the way the other.
Turn the car off.
Next time you start the car they will be reset.
