panic button-wont start

OK, so I searched for this and nothing so now I gotta ask. I've never done this before (posted) so I apologize ahead of time if I'm doing something wrong. Here's my problem. I accidently pushed the panic button and now my car wont start. Tried all of what I would think would be the obvious, but still no start. When I try the method explained in the manual, I get a rapid clicking from the fuse box but everything else is the same. WTF? Any suggestions? Thanks fellas.

RX8Soldier,

I have two keys and yesterday when I checked, one battery was dead and one was not. I tried both keys. Same result with both.

Yes Battery is a brand new optima red top connections are good. Car has been starting wonderfully the last few days after I put it in. I double checked the connections. Then unhooked the battery and hooked it back up with same result. Im no car whiz but im not dumb and Have done all work on my car since ive owned one. I believe this is an immobilizer issue. Any thoughts on that?? Thanks guys and gals.

Have you checked all your fuses? Do you get any noises...clicks...engine turning over? Maybe the clutch pedal safety switch maybe needs to be reset?

Pulled all fuses and disconnected battery for the third time and everything is back to normal. WTF? Anyway, Thanks so much everyone. I Used to read the forums when I had my MP3 and now with my 8 and it is incredible to get so much help. This is the first time I finally decided to sign up and post because I'm moving in a few days from Michigan to California and am taking my 8. You guys made it possible. Anyone on here in the Bakersfield area? I have no friends there lol. Anyway, Thanks again RX8 club. peace
