P0131 causing P0302? Thoughts?

Hi Guys and Gals,
My 2005 Rx8 (6 -speed 34k miles), has two codes that pop up very quickly as soon as you begin driving. One is a P0131 which is the O2 circuit voltage low, and the P0302 which is the rear rotor misfire. I have swapped plugs, wires, and coils as a test for ignition issues, and none made a difference. So, I am wondering if it is possible / likely that the P0131 (bad O2 sensor I assume) is causing my misfire? It seems logical, but has anybody seen this actually happen?

Thank you in advance!!!

-Jeremy

Last week I had P0302 and i replaced coils/plugs and the light went away but a week later P0037 (Rear 02 sensor) & P0301 (Misfire cyl. 1) came on. Any ideas what it could be for my issue? I got 60K miles on my car.

IDK why your light didnt go away.....did u reset the pcm?

A bad o2 sensor can definetly cause misfires.
I got a 2006 VW beetle in the other day with P0301-05 and a code for Lean A/F and a slow response pre cat o2 sensor.

The lazy o2 through off the A/F's with caused the lean condition which caused the lean misfires.
Replaced the 02 sensor and all was good.
