Overheating!
Overheating!
Well to be short I was at high rpms and a hose blew off the radiator, I replaced it and refilled the engine coolant. Now I'm getting a ton of white smoke whenever I crank the engine. I can't really tell that coolant is in the oil but I have lost some coolant. The engine over heats not long after its fully warmed up, so my question is what is the cause? Coolant valve blow, thermostat stuck? Any ideas?
Flush your coolant throughly. check your water pump and check the oil. then check your radiator for holes or leaks and all the coolant lines. if it still over heats then hopefully you have some cash for a rebuild. Oh also is the fans kicking on?
if you ever get the car running back up again. Invest in a water temp gauge. by the time your factory temp gauge tells you, you might so out of luck and have a toasted motor. Also look into doing a port job while you have the motor apart.
Today i figured it out, it stopped smoking so i was like cool, and i added coolant and believe it's the coolant burning, I added a bunch of coolant today and It all dissappered, and the white smoke returned, I suppose it's time for a rebuild
