Alright iam pretty lost about what this could be ill be driving in 2nd,3rd,4th gear around 3/4 between 3 and 4k with constant pressure one the gas the rpm drops to 3k and then will climb back up. doesnt matter if iam going on a hill or getting on it but it doesnt do it all the time.

 

How many miles on the car and what maintenance has been done?

 

54k and i do reg oil change and just changed the tranny and rear end oil at 50k. Its an 2004

need help its getting worse. well my clutch pedal broke u it was still drivable. i got the reinforcment braket and now thats good for a day, but now its seems like the clutch is slipping(revs up then goes back down) What could cause this? please help.

 

All I can tell you......and it may not make any sense at all...........is my daughters car(a non 8) had this sort of issue and it turned out to be the TPS(Throttle Position Sensor). her RPM's would randomly dip and climb 500 or so RPM's and it got worse the longer you drove the car. Would take a while to show up, but when it did, it would happen about every five-ten seconds.

my question is, does that sound like something that a bad clutch would do or is it something else?
