this is a new engine with 3k mi on it . this noise was there since day one of the install. i did have the same noise on the previous engine so maybe it has something to do with the intake.... since the parts transfer over... the old engine went out because of low compression and a blown coolant seal. nothing else was wrong with it..

engine is stock except for intake but i have put the stock one on and it still make the same noise . i am also getting a studder or hesitation around 8k rpms

i have searched for anything similar but found nothing really so any help/suggestions would be appreciated

Have you cleaned the SSV ?

 

ill have to try that within a weekend or two . seems like I would have to put aside a whole weekend. any idea what else it could be?
