No throttle response

Hi all,
Been a lurker for a while and need some help. My 04 will start normally and idle but will not rev up when I give it gas. I can put it in gear and idle along but no throttle response. ANyone ever have this happen. THe only thing that happened beforehand was the battery was dead so I charged it up and took it for a nice long run...parked it for 4 or 5 hours and now it is acting as I explained.
Any idea?
Thanks in advance

150000 kms ~ 90000 miles. Engine replace under warranty at ~78000 kms
Well that was weird...just went out to start it and now starts and revs fine, but has CEL on. Will take it to a buddy and get him to scan it tomorrow and see what code it shot. Almost like it went into a limp mode or something. If anyone had this kind of experience I am still interested in hearing about it...I am not a firm believer in things curing themselves...
Thanks

Could be a faulty connection on your throttle plug . If it happens again try unplugging it and then reinserting it .

Faulty coils would affect throttle response but still allow it to start and idle?? Any specs around so I can check them?

Starting and idling are near-zero-load situations so, yes.
FSM, but it is a waste of time as the "specs" do not help determine coil quality/performance.

It may be in "limp mode" from a trouble code,
Do you have a check engine LED?
Get the OBD2 port read for any trouble codes.

Disconnecting the battery may clear the code, but if a component has failed, the code will come right back when the car is restarted.

Got the code read and it showed throttle position sensor. Cleared it and it has not happened since and no codes have reappeared.
