Exclamation No Heat or Cool Air?

If your temperature control stops working, it will be one of three issues: 1.The Actuator is bad, 2.The Control Amplifier is bad, 3.The soldering is bad on the circuit board behind the dial itself. I took mine to a shop to get fixed where they replaced the actuator and amplifier, but it still didn't work. Then, I found the post on here https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-do-yourself-forum-73/diy-no-heat-repair-heater-control-158200/ which walked me through fixing the soldering on the circuit board behind the ****. Three drops of solder later and it all worked!

That said, I have extra dealer parts to sell since that wasn't the issue. These parts are non-returnable parts, so unless you can find them at a salvage yard, you're stuck paying a ton for the parts. I sold the actuator already, but I still have the amplifier. This is for an '04, part # FE04-61-504A. I bought the amp for $641, so I'll get rid of it for a steal. You can email me at rolloveryp@yahoo.com if you have any questions.

If your trying to sell those I would recommend you put them in the for sale section if you want anyone to see them and don't forget to post the price and pictures of what your selling.

So are you trying to sell people parts that are most likely not the root cause of the problem? I'm confused by this thread. . .

I mean, I don't doubt that somewhere out there someone needs these parts for something, but don't say they'll be a fix for something that is most likely poor soldering.

Also - syntheticdarkness is right on... this should be in the for sale section. With a price. and pictures. Welcome to the forum. Sorry you got taken for a ride by a crappy dealer.

yea seriously.. i sell these for like 50 bucks.. IF anyone ever did need them. but that is hardly ever the case with this issue. Sucks you didnt search here before getting ripped off like that, but dont pawn your misfortune off on someone else.

Why is every one on the board so critical? He is mearly saying, hey I have these for sale. But you should check the solder first. Holy **** every one calm down.

It wouldn't be the RX8 forum if we weren't cry babies and bashers.

Agreed, plus I think it also helps weed out trolls and so on, not saying anyone is. It's nice though to keep subjects in certain spots that way searching and help is easier.

"let this be a lesson"? are you kidding me? you guys are ridiculous. If I wasn't still learning about the rotary and my car I would have ditched this board a long time ago. The knowledge base isn't even that good. I know its a relatively new car but come on... Taking out the 2 plastic pieces in the intake to gain horse power... You guys need to quit being so quick to bash new people, when ALL OF US are new to this car. This is the worst car BB I have ever been on as far as thrashing and actually knowing anything about your car.
