Two weeks ago I had hot air coming from the vents. Turning on A?C made not difference. The first fix lasted two days. In the most recent fix a larger condensor was installed and a valve was replaced. My warranty ran out 03 July, but I reported the problem before then, so I was covered. I get some intermittent hissing from the new condensor, but the dealer says this is normal. Any thoughts?
Also, the mechanic screwed up my aftermarket alarm. The fix csost $125.00. I passed this on the the Service Manager, who is crediting my account. I was pleasantly surprised.

without a functioning AC you will only get hot air even if it's cold outside, there is no true outside air vent mode

 

Your HVAC amplifier probably failed. It sounds like a control problem.

 

Ja I wish they would fix that in all cars.

Shure would be nice to have outside air in place of hot engine air.
