Exclamation NEW Rx-8 owner please help

I just recently bought an 04 rx-8 with 55,210 miles. I was wondering if anyone else could here a clutch noise or transmission noise when in idle. When I push in the clutch in nuetral the sound stops and when i take it out it continues again. Is this normal? Also when i turn the ignition to the on posistion i hear noise from the speakers like static even though the radio and everything is off. Is this normal as well or could i fix it and how.
Thank you
JC

when you say radio noise, are you talking about a high pitch electrical sound? Try opening your hood and see if it comes from there.

the engine idle hum sounding slightly different when the clutch is depressed is normal, as mine is like that too. (yah, i found it kinda strange at first too as i've been driving stick all my life but this being my first rotary. go figure.)

the audio noise you hear w/ the ignition, however, does not sound normal to me. u might want to get that looked at.

Are you turning the headlights on when you hear the buzzing? If you have very good hearing and have the HID headlights you can hear the headlights buzz as they heat up.

Believe it or not, the input shaft noise decreased tremendously after getting the new plugs and flash. The idle is so much smoother now that everything that used to buzz or rattle makes a lot less noise. there's almost no difference in the sound of the trans with the clutch engaged or released now.

thanks i guess i can stop worying about the tranny
The speakers on the other hand i guess i have to check them out. I believe that the speakers are stock and it does sound like they turn on but without the radio turning on. Any suggestions why this might be. Also mine is an 04 and was wondering if any recalls or checks applies to all or this year or whatever. Thanks by the way i bought mine from a car sale at a tech fed bank, i guess autowest was the dealer.
THanks for all the help
