AU Neutral switch on gearbox- BAD IDLE

Here's one for the books, tho i'm probably not the first to discover this.
Neutral switch on gearbox can cause stalling and bad idle.
I've had this problem for 12000km and have finally fixed it. No one, no mechanic anywhere could tell me what was wrong.

I noticed the wires on my reverse switch were a little crispy on account of being too close to my exhaust which led me to test BOTH switches with a multi meter. I actually replaced BOTH of them to be sure.

Weird thing was when i disconnected the reverse switch it idled much much better, but idled crap when i disconnected neutral switch. I tested BOTH switches and discovered the Neutral to be faulty but Reverse was OK.

She's a fickle creature the Rx8. BUT worth the pain.....i think.

fairly easy fix. Took me like 10 minutes. I bought a deep-well socket and cut a groove in it for the wire.
