Need help adjusting the clutch pedal height

Hi Guys,

I think my clutch pedal isn't going back as far as it requires. I'm trying to lift it up and I found this thread:

Adjusting the clutch pedal (works great!)!)

I can change the rod and adjust the freeplay ok but I'm having trouble with the clutch pedal height bolt. I can manage to clamp a 12mm crescent on it but there is absolutely no turning room. There's this little plastic thing that I can push down but it still doesn't provide enough room as its surrounded by other metal bits that stop me turning my little tool.

Can anyone offer some help on a way to do this?

Thanks
Chris

That manual has even less information on the process than the link I posted...
